WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

During their week-long stay, our campers are exposed to college life. Through our partnership with the College at Oneonta, campers and their coaches reside in the college dormitories (with a staff of CBW Team Coordinators), dine in the college dining hall, and have access to some of the College at Oneonta’s finest facilities, including an indoor pool, indoor basketball courts, fitness center for coaches, outdoor track and outdoor tennis courts. For many, this is the first time they have been away from home giving them a valuable opportunity to experience what the college world has to offer.

Playing near Cooperstown must include a trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame – here baseball fans, young and old, can learn about the chosen few who have those skills both on and off the field to be honored with baseball’s highest honor. By learning about what it takes to be a Hall of Famer, goals are set high throughout a youth’s baseball career lasting their entire life.

Other package amenities also include a CBW commemorative ring, custom-designed gift caps, a trading pin, logo water bottle and passes to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

FIELDS & FACILITIES

CBW is the Premier week-long tournament camp of its kind, owned and run by baseball professionals. It features a college atmosphere, skills competitions, a visit to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, strong family interaction and induction for the Players and Coaches into the National Youth Hall of Fame!

Each summer, CBW utilizes six fields total; four on campus, two which are turf and two off campus fields in the town of Oneonta, one which was built by Cooperstown Baseball World when they opened. Additionally, our complex is equipped with five Major League style batting cages.

With the idea of home and road games, the 13U – 16U games are played on three full sized, state-of-the-art fields: the State College at Oneonta Varsity Baseball Field (turf), Damaschke Field, and the Neahwa Park Field. It is here at Damaschke Field that Babe Ruth played in the 20’s and where Bernie Williams, Andy Pettite, Al Leiter, and Jorge Posada all played in the 80’s and 90’s. This field was also home to the Detroit Tigers Class A team.

CBW hosts their Individual Skill Competitions as if it were a pro or college try-out giving a young player the experience of what needs to be done to make it in the Major Leagues! All winners are awarded a custom plaque, engraved with their category.
