Chapter 6: Iron Jaw Gulch - Skylanders Swap Force Guide - IGN (2024)

Destroy the wooden object near the beginning of the area to collect a Marshal Wheellock Plushy (1/5). Head to the other side of the area and talk to the shark dude. Past him, take care of the Pirate Powderkeg then pull the switch to create a bridge into the next area.

Iron Jaw Gulch (Magic)

On the other side of the bridge, jump off the blue pad to reach a Marshal Wheellock Plushy (2/5). Head right from the blue pad to find a little path by the cacti that will lead you to a Soul Gem (1/3). Once you have it, go back the way you came and pull the switch to raise the bridge to another area.

Cactus Pass (Magic)

Just treasure inside the Giant treasure chest. Use any Skylanders Giants to open the chest.

Swap Zone (Rocket)

Complete this challenge to earn a Legendary Treasure (1/2).

The Canteen (Magic)

The handle for the mechanism that raises the bridge has gone missing. Head into the building on the left to find it. Jump on all four tables in the center of the room without touching the floor to unlock the door in the back. Grab the handle from the back room and use it on the mechanism outside to raise the bridge.

Defeat all the enemies to open the Battle Gate covering cannon. Once the baddies are gone, hop in the cannon to destroy one of the airships and rocket yourself to a new area.

Hucksters Hutch (Fire)

Elemental Gate (Air/Tech) - Sky Gear Gulch

Make your way to the end of the area to earn a Hat (1/2).

SWAP ZONE (DIG)

The location of this Swap Zone applies to Wii only, On all other consoles, the Swap Zone is located in Sun Smoked Strand.

Complete the challenge to earn a Winged Sapphire.

Use the blue pad to get on the roof and collect a Marshal Wheellock Plushy (3/5). Hop off the roof and enter the building.

Impenetrable Fort (Magic)

Hope on all five spinning tables to unlock the back door.

Sun Smoked Strand (Fire)

Hope on the blue pad near the building to get on the roof and collect the Treasure Chest (1/3). Destroy the wooden structure surrounded by mines to find it.

Cuddy's Cottage

Hop off the roof and into the building to retrieve the handle for the nearby bridge mechanism. While you're in here, jump on the beds. No, seriously. After about three to five bounces, the frames will burst apart into bits of treasure. The bed in the back left corner will yield a Marshal Wheellock Plushy (4/5).

Across the bridge is a Swap Zone (relocated to Impenetrable Fort on Wii).

Swap Zone (Dig)

The location of this Swap Zone applies to all consoles except Wii. On Wii, this Zone is located in Impenetrable Fort.

Complete the challenge to earn a Winged Sapphire.

Jump off the ledge to the left of the Swap Zone. Follow the path down hear to the blue pads that will lead you to the roof of a building where you'll find a Soul Gem (2/3).

Hop off the roof and enter the building across the way

Quaint Cottage

Inside you'll find a Treasure Chest (2/3) locked by a mini-game. On Wii, there is no mini-game; the chest can be opened normally. All other consoles, here's how to open it:

• Have Blue press the blue button, then the green button
• Move Green over by the green bolt and have Blue press the green button again
• Green can now collect its bolt
• Have green follow the path of green pistons down to where the blue button is
• Move Blue onto the blue piston and have Green press the green button
• Blue now has a path to the blue bolt. Rejoin Green once he has it

Iron Jaw Inn (Fire)

Enter the building on the left and defeat all the enemies within to retrieve the bridge mechanism's handle. Cross the bridge and fight all the enemies until the Battle Gate on the cannon disappears. Once it does, jump on in to destroy another airship.

10,000 Gallon Hat (Undead [Life on Wii])

Elemental Gate (Tech) - Pump Station

Work your way through the area to obtain a Legendary Treasure (2/2).

Head left from the Elemental Gate and enter the building. After you've raised the bridge, hop up the stairs to the left of it to get a Story Scroll.

Kangarat Groove Hut

Jump on all the tables to unlock the door in the back. Once it's open, grab the handle and head back outside to raise the bridge.

Elemental Gate (Life) - Grooving Gardens

Jump on all the rotating platforms to earn a Bonus Mission Map.

Swap Zone (Teleport)

Complete the challenge to earn a Hat (2/2).

Hop on the blue pad near the Swap Zone to reach another Marshal Wheellock Plushy (5/5).

Okey-Dokey Corral (Undead [Life on Wii])

Immediately to the left, hidden within the wooden structure is a Treasure Chest (3/3). Use the blue pad a bit further up the path to get on the roof where a Soul Gem (3/3) is hiding underneath another wooden structure.

Last Train West (Undead [Life on Wii])

Battle and defeat all the enemies to unlock the Battle Gate on the cannon. Hop inside to destroy the final airship and end the Chapter.
