Orlando's Orange County Convention Center to Host 1,500-Car Auction July 6-9
Following another record-setting result at the world's largest classic and collector car auction in Kissimmee, Florida, in January that eclipsed $217 million in sales, Mecum Auctions will return to Central Florida July 6-9 to host the Mecum Orlando Summer Special 2022, offering an estimated 1,500 consignments at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center.
American muscle is represented among the featured lots by a 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 (Lot F92) with a Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and boasting a restoration using upgraded performance parts. Also, a 4-speed 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 Fastback (Lot S72) will present with a Marti Report showing its status as one-of-20 with its paint and trim codes and wearing an extensively detailed rotisserie restoration by Keith Craft Racing Engines.
Among the classics to be offered in Orlando is a 1957 Oldsmobile Super 98 Convertible (Lot S78) showing off a frame-off restoration, 371 CI Rocket V-8 engine and Hydra-Matic Jetaway transmission, as well as power windows, brakes, steering and seats. The result of a frame-off restoration, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop (Lot S52) will also be offered, as will a bright and bold blue-on-blue 1961 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite Roadster (Lot F251).
From the realm of sports and performance vehicles will be a 4-speed 1988 Porsche 930 Turbo (Lot S123), a 15-mile 2022 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R Edition Convertible (Lot S124) and a supercharged 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (Lot S107.1) showing just 3,520 miles, to name a few.
The Magnificent M-Cycle Collection will present a selection of 14 motorcycles, with 12 to be offered at no reserve and eight restored, including a 1989 Honda CR80 (Lot T6) and a 1975 Indian MM5 Mini Bambino (Lot F11).
