SAM'S Club has confirmed its hours will change for one day later this month.
Other retailers are also doing the same, or even closing entirely, to mark a significant holiday.

For the public holiday, which falls May 27, customers will have less time to shop.
Sam's Club has confirmed the changes on its official website.
Stores nationwide will close two hours early - at 6 pm instead of the usual 8 pm.

Stores closed on Memorial Day
Since Memorial Day is a federal holiday, many Americans have the day off work.
While most grocery stores and retailers remain open, there are some exceptions
Costco is closing all stores for the whole day.
So is Natural Grocers, which has 168 stores across 20 states.
Postal services are also affected by the holiday.
All UPS locations will be closed.
FedEx will close many locations, while others will operate with reduced hours.
Club members will be able to shop from 10 am to 6 pm.
Plus members can shop from 8 am to 6 pm.
Club and plus are the two different tiers of memberships.
Plus is the more premium option, at $110 a year, whereas Club is $50 a year.

Sam's Club is offering a special deal on membership for Memorial Day.
New customers can sign up for a Club membership for just $25 per year.
That's 50% off the regular price.
The offer ends May 31 and customers can sign up online.

Sam's Club is rolling out new electronic carts so shoppers can avoid the much-hated receipt check at the end of their visit.
Currently found at 120 locations, the carts allow customers to ring up their products and pay via the app as they shop.
AI technology can verify the items in the cart have been paid for, removing the need for a human to check the paper receipt.
“At Sam’s Club, we care about every second a member spends with us, so eliminating even the few seconds it takes to scan a receipt at the exit door – it’s well worth it,” said Megan Crozier, executive vice president and chief merchant for Sam's Club, at theCES 2024 event in January.
