  Towne & Country Animal Clinic is a well-established, full-service small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.

• Vaccination

  For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

• Behavioral Counseling

  Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

• Nutritional Counseling

  Outpatient procedures are services that do not need the doctor and are done by a technician. These include Laser Therapy, nail trims, anal gland expression, certain vaccine boosters (Lepto, Lyme, Influenza, Bordetella), Glucose checks, Heartworm & Leukemia/FIV tests, bandage & suture removals, etc. Outpatients are for patients who are established with the clinic. We require current Rabies vaccinations for patients coming in for nail trims.

  Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

• Laser Surgery

  Your Pet's health is as important to us as it is to you. We are pleased to offer laser surgery as an exciting new option for safe, comfortable treatment. In many procedures, the laser can replace the scalpel and provide a better alternative to traditional surgery.

• Declawing

  A laser is ideal for a wide variety of surgical procedures for dogs, cats, birds and other pets. Laser surgery can correct many common conditions such as cysts, tumors, warts and infections, that may occur around the eyes, ears, in the mouth, and anywhere on the skin. Specialized internal procedures are also possible. Your veterinarian will be able to tell you if your pet's procedure can be performed with a laser. Spays, neuters, and declaws work great with the laser.

• Spaying and Neutering

  Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure.

  We offer two levels of in-house blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in. Our doctors prefer the more comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.

• Boarding

  Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

• Grooming

  At Towne and Country Animal Clinic we have a fully staffed kennel, and we take pride in the quality care we give our guests. All kennels are heated and air conditioned, and we feed the Royal Canin line of dry foods to the pets while they stay with us. All dogs are taken out individually, multiple times a day in our fully fenced exercise area. Cats are in individual kennels, and are checked on throughout the day as well as brushed daily. We have a full time veterinary staff on the premise to care for all your pets' needs while you are away. Ask about our grooming services to pamper your pet before they come home!
