Jewelry Bonney is the only female member of the Worst Generation. Like most of the Worst Generation members, Bonney debuted in the series during the Sabaody Archipelago arc. Bonney managed to stand out from the other members of the Worst Generation due to her ability to consume a great deal of food, which is similar to Luffy's behaviour.
So far, Urouge and Bonney are the two Supernovas with the least amount of screentime, which is why many One Piece fans predicted that either of them might be involved in the next arc in the series. This prediction came to be true as in One Piece chapter 1060, Bonney was shown after a very long time. She was trapped inside an Eddy, and on Luffy's orders, she was rescued by Zoro. Her appearance has raised many questions, with one of them being what role will she play in the story.

Origins
Jewelry Bonney was born in South Blue, and after gathering a crew, she made her way to Sabaody and eventually into the New World. When Blackbeard captured Bonney, he tried to strike a bargain with the Navy. He asked for a warship in return for Bonney, but his demands were overlooked as Akainu personally came to collect Bonney, resulting in Blackbeard running away. She was taken to the Navy Headquarters, but she managed to find a way out.
Judging by Bonney's interaction with Akainu, it seemed that at some point in the past, she was under the control of the World Government and had managed to break free, which resulted in a chase that would continue until she was recaptured by them. Seeing the World Government consistently trying to get Bonney back suggests that she is valuable to them in some way. The most logical answer as to why Bonney is being chased is that they want her devil fruit.
The Power To Change Ages
Bonney has eaten an unnamed paramecia type devil fruit that allows her to alter the age of other people and her own as well. The devil fruit can potentially keep a person young forever as they can keep switching to a younger age. By making a person younger or older, Bonney can nullify their threat as seen in her battle against the Marines at Sabaody Archipelago. It is possible that Bonney's eating habits are because of her devil fruit.
Despite its great power, the devil fruit does have a major weakness; it only affects the target when she touches them with her hands. While this has not been explicitly stated as a fact, Bonney's interaction with Blackbeard heavily implies that she cannot use her powers without touching them with her hands.

When Blackbeard asked Bonney to be his wife, the latter kicked her. If her devil fruit ability wasn't limited, she could have easily turned Blackbeard into a child when she touched him with her feet. This particular shortcoming was once again highlighted in OnePiece: Stampede.
When Bonney tried to attack Bullet, he grabbed her leg and avoided being touched by her hands, thus rendering Bonney's ability useless. It is possible that Bonney stole the devil fruit from the World Government, which is why they continue to pursue her. The World Government has tried to get its hands on powerful devil fruits such the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. So, it would make sense that the sole reason behind their efforts to capture Bonney is her devil fruit.
A Knowledgeable Individual
Having a powerful devil fruit is not the only thing that can cause the World Government problems. In the past, it has been shown that the World Government is wary of individuals who have any kind of information about the Void Century or any other dark secret about the organization. When the scholars at Ohara deciphered the poneglyphs, the Five Elders wasted absolutely no time in commencing the Buster Call and massacring the entire population of the island, save for Nico Robin.
Since Bonney's devil fruit allowed her to alter her own age as well, it is difficult to know what her actual age is. For all we know, she could have existed hundreds of years ago. If that is true, then it is possible that Bonney was alive when the World Government was created.
Almost Immortal
Bonney being alive during the Void Century does make sense. She seems to have some kind of knowledge about the World Government and the higher-ups in the organization. The World Government was created centuries ago after twenty nations banded together to defeat the Great Kingdom. Many theories suggest that Bonney might actually be from the Great Kingdom, and after its destruction, she changed her name to hide her identity, but eventually, the World Government found out. Since then, they have been trying to capture her.
Another prevalent idea surrounding Bonney's past is that she is a member of the D. Family. The family of D. is among the biggest mysteries in the series, and Bonney being a descendant of the family would make her the natural enemy of the Celestial Dragons. So, it makes sense the World Government would have Bonney under their control rather than allow her to roam free and expose any secrets related to them. If either of these theories do turn out to be true, then it is fair to assume that Bonney has a pivotal role to play in the final saga as she can guide Luffy and his crew in the right direction. She might form an alliance with Luffy, and her knowledge can help Luffy to find the final Road Poneglyph and claim the legendary treasure— One Piece.
